BIOGRAPHIES
LOOPHOLE has the potential to be a local Las Vegas supergroup with not-so-local goals of Grammys, recording at Abbey Road studios in London, playing Madison Square Gardens, performing on Letterman, etc. with early comparisons ranging from Audioslave to Jeff Buckley, to Crosby, Stills and Nash and the Eagles! Diverse and energetic performances with occasional acoustic/unplugged sets layered with three part harmonies, catchy/structured/emotional songs and a group full of multi-instrumentalists that having been playing together for years in the entertainment capital of the world. No real “front man” with three legitimate lead singers keeps audiences asking “what’s next?” when this band takes the stage.
Danny Garay (drums/percussion)
Danny was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada by his entertainer parents. His primary influence growing up was his father, world renowned conga percussionist Luis Garay, who performed with the great entertainers of that time such as, Perez Prado, Xavier Cagat, and Tito Puente just to name a few. Danny began his training at a young age playing along side these greats.
By the age of 17, Danny was already touring the world as drummer for the band Eclipse, opening for such acts as White Snake, Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Kansas, etc.
Danny’s natural abilities and precise execution of rhythms allows him to play many styles molding his licks without a need for rehearsal. His incorporation of latin, metal, jazz, and funk adds an energetic twist standing out from all the rest. Danny’s ability to “play in the pocket” and add challenging syncopated rhythms rather than playing common standard licks and fills sets him apart as indisputably unique and an indispensable performer.
Tim Catching (vocals/keys/guitar/bass)
Tim has been playing music since the tender age of five. He’s currently twentyeight and still loving the music just as much as ever performing covers and originals and has mastered multiple instruments. Currently putting creative energy into writing and learning new and fun music to entertain even the most prudent listener! He’s turned on by good vibes, just like everybody else, and whether it’s a sad song, happy song, stupid song, or something brilliant, if it don’t move you, it ain’t worth a damn. He is a lover of people and places. Definitely a dreamer who can’t sleep deep enough to see what’s always been, is what will always be. Tim always just trying to make you all feel something. If he can do that…………….he’d be happy.
Arrow (vocals/guitar/bass/keys/harmonica)
Arrow is Filipino with a voice that simply stops traffic! Amazing songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist!!! Plays cover tunes as if he wrote them himself by putting his own amazing style into the vibe of the tune and his take on lyrics and melody have put him in a league of his own in regards to his original material. Loves the beach, hiking and “CHILLAXIN” with family and close friends.
His musical roots includes, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Bob Dylan, Hendrix, The Beatles, Neil Young, Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Not so much of a big talker, but carries a big stick when on stage performing! He feels most at home there with a surprising amount of energy you wouldn’t see coming after a normal conversation with him.
Shawn Eiferman (vocals/guitar/bass)
Shawn has been performing and writing music for almost 20 years, but has spent his whole life surrounded by entertainment. His mother was a world-famous opera singer and his father was a pioneer of body building(former Mr. America/Mr. Universe), who later did shows with Mae West and Debbie Reynolds, and made television and film appearances for more than thirty years.
Shawn began playing guitar at the early age of nine growing up in Bellingham, Washington, before his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he currently resides and has performed regularly as the house entertainment at both the House of Blues Las Vegas, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and Rosalita’s Cantina inside Sunset station. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, he jumped into the local scene with both feet, playing solo gigs for seven years and earning UNLV’s College Entertainer of the Year award two years in a row. In 1994, he won a Battle of the Bands competition by himself against eleven full-piece bands! John Lennon and USA Songwriting contest winner! Opened for more national touring artists/acts than any local performer averaging 400+ shows a year for several years through his “under the radar”/”always the bridesmaid” career.
Shawn founded and fronted an acoustic modern rock band, Epstein’s Mother, that proved to be a big fish in a small pond for six years then decided to continue his work as a solo artist after the band’s break up in September 2001.
